hello there!
Hi—my name is Faith Rider! I'm a third-year computer science student at the University of Cincinnati. This website is my current personal project; I am actively improving both the website and my own knowledge base.
Most interests of mine outside of academics tend to encompass the fine arts. I've been making art and playing instruments since I was little. Piano, alto saxophone, bassoon, guitar, ukulele, you name it. Cultivating those passions has allowed me to really expand how much I can provide in other areas. I never wanted to ruin any enjoyment for art and music by making it my career, so I like to incorporate those portions of my skillset into other projects, so my designer's heart can still shine through.
Programming, for me, is something that I can do for hours and not get tired of it. My favorite feeling is running code and seeing it actually do what it should. The feeling I got from my first "Hello World" code was so amazing and powerful. I hope that through my major, I can continue feeling what I felt then. And, I can't think of anything better than making a difference in the world while knowing that I part of it.
